With our Toner Container Return Box Program, you can purchase a shipping box and postage label for easy return to our recycling facility. We’ll ensure sustainable recycling and reuse of material waste. Nothing will end up in landfill.

We want to make return of our toner containers as convenient as possible with minimal disruption to your daily business
activities – as easy as copying and printing a document. Here are some advantages of participation:

• A durable plastic liner included with the box ensures safe transport with no leakage of potential residual toner

Maximizing Material Reuse . . . Eliminating Waste
By recycling empty Ricoh toner containers, you’ll keep material waste out of landfill and put it to better use. Recovered
plastics will be utilized at waste-to-energy power generation plants or, when applicable, used as a recycled plastic material. Even the shipping and packing materials will be recycled. Nothing will end up in landfill.
Recycled plastics can out perform wood, which is often less durable and deteriorates at a faster rate. Some of the recovered plastic material from Ricoh’s toner containers may be used for product components traditionally made from wood. This serves to preserve our vital forests while reducing the environmental burden of using virgin materials.

choice to return to our recycling facility.

Can I recycle my toner containers locally?
Municipalities or private recyclers determine what they are able to take back and policies vary. You will
need to verify acceptance on an individual basis. Chemical content information that the recycler may
need is available via Material Safety Data Sheets. See the homepage of www.ricoh-usa.com to access.
What if I choose not to purchase Ricoh’s toner return box?
You are not required to use Ricoh’s box for returns. You can use your own durable box, liner and
shipping method – whatever works best for you. Ricoh will accept any of our toner containers shipped
to our recycling facility at this address:

Toner Container Return Box Program is available to customers within the forty-eight contiguous United States for the
return of Ricoh, Savin and Lanier toner containers only.

POSTAGE PRE-PAID PROGRAM FOR
RICOH TONER CARTRIDGES
The toner cartridges in Ricoh fax, printers and some small copiers incorporate mechanical
and electrical components that are part of the imaging process. When the toner is
spent, many of these parts are in as-new condition and can be re-used. Recycling these
cartridges keeps them out of landfills, while reducing environmental impact that comes
from using virgin materials and parts.
When returned, cartridges are disassembled and all parts – including shipping and
packing materials – are sorted for parts re-use, material and energy recovery. The parts
are cleaned and inspected using sophisticated testing systems and equipment. Those
that meet Ricoh’s strict quality standards are re-used in manufacturing of new cartridges.
A select number of cartridges are returnable to our manufacturing plant via this pre-paid shipping label program.
To determine if your supplies are eligible for pre-paid return via the Toner Cartridge Return Program, please look for the pre-addressed, postage-paid shipping label in the supply box. Easy to follow instructions are printed on the box’s inner flap.
If there is no pre-paid label within the original shipping box, we invite you to ship to our recycling center
using the shipping method of your choice or participate in our Toner Container Box Program.
